Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how quez ("quez", "we", "us") handles information when you use the quez desktop app, website, and cloud services (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

  • Account info — when you sign in (e.g. with Google or GitHub), we receive your name, email address, and profile identifier from that provider.
  • Usage & billing — build activity, token usage, credit balance, and plan/subscription status, so we can meter and bill the Service.
  • Payment info — processed by our payment provider (Paddle). We do not store full card numbers; we keep limited records (e.g. last 4 digits, billing status) from Paddle.
  • Your code & prompts — quez builds run locally on your computer; your source code stays on your machine. When you use quez Cloud, your prompts and the build context are sent to our inference gateway and forwarded to the AI provider (Anthropic) to generate output. When you publish an app, the content you choose to publish is uploaded to our hosting.
  • Diagnostics — basic technical logs (timestamps, error events, IP address) to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use it

  • To provide, meter, and bill the Service.
  • To authenticate you and protect against abuse and fraud.
  • To operate quez Cloud (forwarding prompts to the AI provider) and the publish/hosting feature.
  • To communicate about your account, receipts, and important changes.

3. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run quez, including: Anthropic (AI inference for quez Cloud), Paddle (payments), our identity provider, and our cloud/hosting infrastructure. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your code & ownership

You retain all rights to the code quez helps you create. It lives on your computer; you can export it or push it to your own repository at any time. Publishing an app is optional and only deploys what you choose.

5. Data retention

We keep account, usage, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, scoped access tokens, least-privilege access) to protect your data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

8. Children

quez is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we will post the new date above and, for material changes, notify you.
